Interview With an Independent Filmmaker

I recently had the chance to interview my former colleague, Christopher Ambriz about what it’s like being an independent filmmaker. Chris is a very experienced former photojournalist who I had the privilege of working with for four years in Corpus Christi, Texas. Chris now works as a Communications Specialist at Texas A&M University in Kingsville. And, perhaps most relevant for purposes of this post, Chris is a filmmaker and makeup artist. That was the main topic that we focused on for this interview. Specifically, Chris mainly makes movies in the horror genre. Chris is an all-around good dude and I’m lucky to count him as a friend. I encourage you to check out this interview. It’s a good discussion about his trajectory, how he became a filmmaker, what that process has been like, and the movie industry in general. I also encourage you to learn more about his movies and projects at https://nightcreatureproductions.com/. Enjoy!
